Your agreement with us

In short: By using Chefsline, you agree to play fair, follow the law, and let us deliver your food in peace.

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your use of Chefsline. By creating an account or placing an order, you agree to be bound by them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

Chefsline (Company No. 13578901), registered office 4 Princelet Street, London E1 6QH, is the entity providing the service.

Using Chefsline

To place an order you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old (or 13 with parental supervision for accounts that don't purchase age-restricted items)
  • Provide a valid delivery address within one of our service zones
  • Have a valid means of payment
  • Not abuse the service, riders, restaurants, or other users

You're responsible for activity on your account. Keep your password to yourself, and tell us straight away at security@chefsline.co.uk if you think it's been compromised.

Orders, prices & promo codes

When you place an order, you make a binding offer to buy the items in your basket from the restaurant. The contract for the food is between you and the restaurant; Chefsline acts as the technology platform and delivery service.

Prices on Chefsline may differ from in-restaurant prices. Restaurants set their own menu pricing. We add a service fee and (where applicable) a delivery fee — both are shown clearly at checkout before you place the order.

Promo codes have an expiry date and a single-use limit unless stated. If we suspect fraudulent use, we may cancel the discount and the order.

Delivery, ETAs & late orders

In short: ETAs are best-effort. If your food's late or wrong, we'll make it right — usually within minutes.

Delivery times are estimates based on restaurant prep time, distance, weather, and live traffic. We aim to deliver in the window shown at checkout but can't guarantee it.

If your order is more than 20 minutes late, missing items, or arrives in unacceptable condition, contact us through the order screen within 48 hours. We will refund, credit, or re-deliver — your call.

Cancellations & refunds

You can cancel an order for free within 60 seconds of confirming. After that, the restaurant has likely started preparing your food, so we can only offer a partial refund (or none, if the food has been dispatched).

We may cancel an order if the restaurant closes unexpectedly, your address is outside the live delivery zone, or our fraud system flags it. You'll be refunded in full to your original payment method within 5 working days.

Restaurant content & accuracy

Menu prices, allergens, and photographs are provided by restaurants. We work hard to keep this current but can't guarantee it. Always check the restaurant page for the most up-to-date allergen information, and contact the restaurant directly if you have a severe allergy.

Reviews & user content

You may leave a review of a restaurant after delivery. Reviews must be honest, based on first-hand experience, and not contain hate speech, personal attacks, or illegal content. We may remove reviews that breach these rules without notice.

By submitting a review, you grant Chefsline a worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, distribute, and adapt it within our service.

Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under law. Subject to that, our total liability for any order is limited to the value of that order.

We're not liable for indirect or consequential losses (for example, lost profits or business opportunities arising from a delayed order).

Termination

You can close your account at any time from Settings → Account. We can suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms (for example, repeat fraud, abuse of riders, or misuse of promo codes), with notice where it's safe to give it.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales, except where mandatory consumer law in your country of residence applies.

For consumer disputes you can also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/odr.
